I have to say, I have been very lucky
in my life. I grew up with very
loving family and had a chance to travel around the world, I married the man I
love, and have two amazing kids.
On May
20th 2005 I gave birth
to my son Antonio Jacob Lepori- If you’re a
mom and you are reading this blog, you know it’s the
best thing in the world; holding
what we created as a couple, this beautiful tiny boy in my arm, life
was perfect. Well 18 month passed by and I went through the same miracle again. My
beautiful strong minded daughter named Racquel Marry Lepori was born on December 29th 2006. Unfortunately, this amazing moment did not last for long – few days after birth, Racquel was rushed to the hospital for open heart surgery
and 4 other follow. As
parents I cannot tell you the stress that came with that. Thanks to technology and amazing doctors,
she’s fine. Well, she will always have a heart
problem, but nothing that can’t be fixed by a surgery; which we hope
will go well every time.
After a few
years and 4 surgeries later, we thought the worst was over and the kids were
healthy. On September30th 2010 we took Antonio to the doctor for
stomach pain, and found out he had cancer: non hodgkin's lymphoma stage 4. At that moment I was thinking that he wouldn’t survive; its cancer and all I could wonder was, how? Why? I could not understand how
it’s possible that both of my kids experienced serious health issues. We’re not talking cold or some type of infection;
we’re talking life and death.
The
doctors offered to start chemo
and of course I did not know any
other option, so I said yes; I wanted my son to live, no matter what. My husband Alfred, at one point asked the doctors if there are other
options. Like unnatural way, or nutrition
perhaps? Since chemo kills everything in body and has long term affects even after the treatment is over. Well, the doctors looked at him like he was crazy and an over worried dad. They
said there is no other way, and its either chemo or he’s going to die!! So we went forward with the chemo. Six months of hell later, the light at the
end of the tunnel finally got brighter. Today Antonio is still
in remission, and will be for the next five years.
After seeing both of
my kids experience these terminal illnesses, I decided to do my own research and find
out more about cancer and heart
disease. To see if it’s systematic or anything else.
Well, after one year of educating myself and my family, I learned about organic food and
the connection between food, cancer
and so many other diseases. I came across a documentary called Forks Over
Knifes- how a truck driver was cured from his diabetes and psoriasis and lost over
100lbs just by juicing fruits and
veggies and was able to play with
his 9 year old again. I got
inspired!!! I followed his method and have lost over 10lbs, my skin looks better, and I
have a lot more energy.
2 months later I heard about Gerson Therapy.
I learned how people with terminal cancer that been sent home to die were cured with a diet involving juicing, coffee enema, and nutritional supplements (we will have a long
discussion in the blog about this). With many success stories behind his treatment, Gerson went to the FDA for approval, and his case and was
denied!! The only reason is because it would shut down pharmaceutical companies, which we all know control the FDA.
More than 50% of American’s are on
some type of medication, and are obese, have cancer, heart disease, or some type of skin illness.
My
blog is not to put anyone out of business (well, I would like to see less drugs). It’s to educate you on how
to improve your health, to avoid
all chemical medications, and how to look at labels in supermarkets to give your
body what it really needs!!!
People
always ask how to shop Organic without emptying your bank account – it’s possible. How to make your kids eat more
veggies, and drink fresh juice instead soda. We don’t have to be sick to
do something about this; we can use the juicing
method as preventative medicine
and a better life style. This is not a diet!!!
This is to educate yourself and do something for the ones you love the most - YOUR
CHILDREN!!!!
